The delegation, which was organised by the Department for Business and Trade and the British High Commission in Mumbai, enjoyed a two-week programme of events with visits to London Tech Week, Cambridge, Cardiff, Manchester, and Leeds.
The delegation represented a wide variety of subsectors including software, data analytics, animation, deep tech, and AI, with companies headquartered in the Tech hubs of Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.
This visit to the UK followed the trade mission to India (led by Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin) which took place last year.
West Yorkshire is already proud to host a number of major Indian-headquartered businesses who are driving innovation in partnership with our universities and have all recently expanded their operations.
The visit included a networking reception, a presentation on the local Digital and Tech sector ecosystem, roundtable discussions, a visit to Mastek, and a tour of the Nexus facility at the University of Leeds.
