The seventh meeting of the UK-U.S. SME Dialogue was a convention aimed at bringing together small and medium-sized enterprises on either side of the Atlantic to explore export opportunities and address barriers to trade between the two countries faced by SMEs.

The summit was held in Indio, California and involved 70 UK and U.S. SMEs.  Businesses were joined by Government representatives and participated in a series of discussions exploring opportunities for transatlantic trade. Services and green technology, in particular, were held up as promising exports for bilateral trade.

Following last year's Dialogue, held in Edinburgh, the Department for Business and Trade launched a toolkit aimed at helping UK SMEs export to the U.S.
